• Individual | Couples | Family Counselling

People are capable, caring, and dependable. When life's challenges pile up, they can create a quiet kind of distress: feeling overwhelmed while still functioning, disconnected while appearing "fine," and wondering why life feels heavier than it should.

Counselling offers a supportive third space to explore what is happening in our lives: your needs, the needs of those important to you, and the patterns that shape our relationships.

    Individual

Life doesn't usually become challenging all at once more often, it happens gradually. Responsibilities grow. Relationships get complicated. Work and the people we love ask more of us. Most of us don't notice the shift. We just keep going, because that's what caring, capable people do. Then small things start feeling harder, and we catch ourselves reacting in ways we don't like.

Sometimes there's a clear reason: loss, illness, conflict, a family crisis. Sometimes there isn't one you can name.

Our lives aren't so easily divided. What happens at work follows us home. What we carry shapes how we sleep, think, and show up for the people we love. Counselling offers a chance to pause and make sense of it all.

There's no right time to begin. Noticing that something doesn't feel right is often enough of a start.

    Couples

Sometimes we hurt the people we love the most.

Love means trusting someone with the parts of ourselves that are easiest to hurt. That trust gives us safety, to share fears, voice needs, and disagree without fear of rejection. When trust weakens, things shift quietly. Conversations turn practical, not personal. Misunderstandings linger. One partner withdraws, the other tries harder to be heard, and both end up feeling alone. We start protecting ourselves instead of connecting, through criticism, defensiveness, or silence.

Counselling offers a space where the relationship itself becomes the focus, rather than deciding who is right or wrong. It provides an opportunity to slow difficult conversations down, understand the patterns shaping your relationship, and discover new ways of relating to each other.

Recognising the relationship matters, is the key to rebuilding trust.

    Family Counselling

When one of us struggles, the whole family feels it

    Families are deeply connected.

When change comes, through stress, illness, conflict, grief, growing up or older, every member feels it.

Some families lean into change. Others resist it, when the timing feels wrong or the risk too great.

Either way, old patterns of communication and emotion surface, some keeping the family connected, others creating distance.

Change is one of the toughest things a family faces together. Counselling helps each member understand its impact, and find new ways to support one another.

Building stronger, healthier relationships that continue to grow.

    About Third Space

Seeing the whole person, not just the problem...

We all carry different roles: partner, parent, family member, colleague, friend. Each comes with expectations, responsibilities, and pressures that make it difficult to hear our own voice amidst the needs of everyone else.

A third space is different. It's a place where you don't have to perform, solve, manage, or protect anyone else. It's a space to slow down, think, feel, and talk openly about what's happening in your life and relationships. It's a place to explore what matters to you, your relationship or your family and what's been getting in the way.

Counselling at third space is collaborative and grounded in evidence-based practice. Rather than offering advice, we work together to better understand what's happening and identify practical steps toward meaningful change.

Counselling is more than somewhere to talk. It's a place to connect with your needs, strengthen relationships, and move from simply getting through life to living it more fully.
